Show @The Plum Tree 07/11/09

Posted in News on October 29, 2009 by peanutalbinos

Hello one and all…

OK. We’ve been lured out of hibernation. The poet E. Amato begged, pleaded, offered all kinds of unmentionable favours, (she even, I might add, promised to stay in the room when we’re on!) to play at her new acoustic night, ‘Super-Zesty Acoustic Sessions‘. How could we refuse?

The line up looks great – a fine mix of music and spoken word. You’ll be pleased to hear that we’ll not be the ones speaking words.

Peanut Albinos on Phonovault…

Posted in News, Uncategorized with tags , , on October 20, 2009 by peanutalbinos

We’re pleased to announce that ‘Falling From The Saddle of a High Horse’ is now available from Phonovault.

This from their website:

‘The PhonoVault is an online bazaar of the bizarre, a veritable treasure trove of all things unusual, intriguing, dark, and downright absurd in the world of music. A workshop of weird and wonderful delights thriving deep in the shadow of everything modernist and mainstream, and a sanctuary for those with a nostalgia for an age that never was, but should have been.

The PhonoVault is a specialist online music retailer with a vaudevillian twist. Our main aim is to help you, our fellow connoisseurs of the curious and countercultural, to find the music you desperately need in your lives, whilst removing the hassle of trawling through the catalogues of larger, less specialised music stores. If you share our admirably skewed worldview, we want to share a whole miscellany of musical gems with you. The central ethos of the PhonoVault is simple; to gather together music that harks back to a golden era, music that entices, excites and intrigues those looking for an antidote to slick, modern, mainstream fare.

The store mines deep into a rich and diverse seam of genres and styles, including Steampunk, Dieselpunk, Gypsy/klezmer music, Victoriana, folk, blues, burlesque, dark cabaret, gothic Americana, darkwave, Neo-Vaudeville, death country, and all sorts of sounds from the more eccentric side of life. Within the vault you will find albums to purchase on CD or download. Also, if you register with the PhonoVault, you will receive a free song download every week with our regular newsletter, helping you discover even more fantastic new music.’

So far our dealings with them have been great so do consider buying from them. Although the prices are slightly higher than say, CD Baby or iTunes, Phonovault offer a much better deal to the artists. Good luck to them!
